About Scrap to Sculpture Scrap to Sculpture is your place for finding eclectic, fun or functional one-of-a-kind recycled metal and mixed media art and sculpture. Artist Sal Gullo draws upon the natural environment, plants and creatures, as well as, his imagination to create unusual pieces that can be displayed indoors or out. Sculptures are crafted from recycled metal, often combined with other bits of recycled plastic and/or glass. Nature’s seed pods, twigs, rocks, and cast-off aluminum, plastic, even old flatware, are used to create individual sculptures or as integral parts of a metal-based sculpture. Finished pieces range from small to very large, whimsical to the bizarre, and often have moving parts activated by water, electricity or wind. Every sculpture is truly one of a kind and is personally signed and dated by the artist. Sal also designs, crafts and installs beautiful, functional custom tabletop or floor lamps; metal gates, railings or fences to enhance your entryway or courtyard. He will custom design and build for you or with you; or will build from your own design. Commissions are welcomed - call or email for an appointment to discuss your ideas. Scrap to Sculpture's studio is open by appointment and the on-site Sculpture Garden is usually stocked with an interesting variety of pieces.
